XM2’s HD FPV System for ALTA X provides the Freefly Systems ALTA X with full OSD support for DJI O3 Air Unit, Walksnail Avatar HD, and any other MSP display port digital video systems with Canvas Mode.
Three additional user-configurable PWM outputs are integrated into the system for versatile control options. This includes seamless integration with the XM2 Retractable Landing Gear, enhancing safety features such as preventing retraction when the drone is not airborne and automatically lowering the legs during auto landings.
The HD FPV System for ALTA X is made up of two crucial parts: the Brain Bay and the HD FPV Camera Bay.
The ALTA X HD FPV Camera Bay securely houses the user's HD FPV Air Unit for stable footage and provides cooling to the video transmitter. Users have the flexibility to manually adjust and lock the camera angle prior to takeoff. The HD FPV Camera Bay has been designed for user-friendly, DIY camera installations and its forward-looking design aims to be compatible with future digital VTX FPV camera systems. Easily integrated, both the camera and bay are designed to be user-installed, and the ALTA X HD FPV Camera Bay slots directly into the ALTA X Bay 1 at the front of the aircraft.
The ALTA X Brain Bay serves as the core component of the HD FPV ecosystem, housing our MAVtx operating system developed by XM2 Labs. MAVtx facilitates seamless communication among the ALTA X flight controller, the Brain Bay, and the HD FPV Camera bay, granting users full access and control of the HD OSD. Additionally, the Brain Bay features three user-configurable PWM outputs, seamlessly integrated for enhanced payload control options
